Girls at Xmas

Christmas 2000 photo of Christine and Madeline.

Madeline HaiXing was baptized on Sunday, November 26, 2000 at

St. Frances Cabrini Church in Littleton. It took place

during the 5:15 Teen Mass that Christie sometimes attends. This was an

especially significant Mass for the baptism because some of the teens in attendance

were in Confirmation class with Daniel, and also because these teens were witnessing

some of the Columbine healing process.

Linda holds Madeline as Father Ken Leone prepares to pour

baptismal water over Madeline. Shortly after this photo, Madeline

had a fit once she saw the water and the large baptismal font. So then

Tom gave it a try, trying to remind her of his playful of letting her head

drop backwards. But the results weren't much better--she again had a fit.

Dad at baptism

Here's Madeline holding on for dear life! Here you can see something that she has

in common with her dad--being hair challenged! The good news is, her situation will improve; her

dad's will not!

Baptism done

And now, some more recent photos, from Madeline's first Easter in America.

Frolicking in the front garden.

A tradition for the Mauser children--posing with the "Groucho glasses."

Playing "glove biting" with Marcus--because Daddy does it.

With her godfather, Bill Mitchell. (About 18 mos. old.)

Precocious Madeline takes a crack at the piano.
