On July 24, 1999, Boy Scout 359 installed a park bench in Daniel’s memory along the South Rim Trail at Roxborough State Park, ten miles south of Columbine. Daniel was once a member of the Boy Scout Troop that preceded 359. A plaque identifies the bench. Roxborough is the Mauser family’s favorite hiking area. The bench is in a great location, with a beautiful view of the red rock formations in the park.
